For patients presenting with acute aortic dissections and other thoracic aortic emergencies, call our Patient Transfer Center at 214.820.6444 from anywhere across the DFW Metroplex and beyond. The team of surgeons on our medical staff, along with our nursing staff will go into immediate action to transport the patient to either of our two Baylor Scott & White Health facilities that have the expertise and advanced technology to get the patient the surgical intervention needed:

The Physician Liaison Program at Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital (BHVH) establishes and promote positive relationships between BHVH physicians within the Baylor Scott & White Health System, the community, and staff. Our physician liaison, Brittany Rigacci, serves as a personal contact and resource for physicians and other healthcare providers to address questions, issues or concerns, and to provide education about services offered at BHVH.
The physician liaison will also coordinate continuing medical education (CME) programs by helping to identify CME needs and assist in the scheduling of CME events.

Our approach has paid dividends in the areas of outcomes and patient satisfaction. We have achieved higher than national scores on our Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Core Measures on Heart Failure, Acute Myocardial Infarction and Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP).
